1995 - 1998Tech-Pro was my introduction to the recruiting industry. When I was hired as an executive assistant in 1995, I had no idea that great things were about to happen. There was less than a dozen of us at the time and Tech-Pro officed out of a converted hotel. Because we were so small, I had exposure to both the recruiting and sales departments. As Tech-Pro exploded on the scene, I moved up to the position of recruiter and was responsible for our contract IT candidates. I learned the right way to develop candidates and built a solid database of current and past connections. After a successful run where I placed a number of active candidates by cold calling local companies, I again transitioned, this time into an Account Executive role. As Account Executive, I placed candidates with new accounts and maintained existing clients with our candidates on contract. By the time I left Tech-Pro in 1998, we had six office locations, our own building with a staff of over 40 and 300 employees on contract.
